Duquesne basketball parts with

The Duquesne University men's basketball team lost its fourth player and second coach this year, announcing Thursday the departures of reserve guard Chase Robinson and assistant coach Scott Rigot.

"Chase asked for his release at the end Bvlgari Watches of the spring semester and we granted it. Scott has left Duquesne to explore other opportunities in basketball," coach Ron Everhart said.

Rigot, a Bethel Park native and former Kentucky assistant, spent two seasons on Everhart's staff.

"I want to thank him for his loyalty and contributions to our program over the past two years," Everhart said.

Associate head coach Bill Barton left Duquesne in April to take an assistant's job at Marshall. Everhart since has hired former Dukes assistant Greg Gary for a second mens Tungsten Bracelet stint.

Robinson, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior from Huntsville (Ala.) Lee High School, played in just 11 games in each of the past two seasons for the Dukes, averaging 0.9 points for his career. His imminent departure was reported in early May by the Tribune-Review.

Everhart said Robinson is considering a transfer closer to his home, perhaps to Atlantic Sun Conference member Kennesaw State (Ga.).

"Chase is a quality person who never gave us anything less than his best effort," Everhart said. "He comes from a great family, and we hope to help him find a school where he can better utilize his skills."
