GLOUCESTER have missed out on the chance to keep Sir Ian McGeechan after the former British Lions coach joined West Country rivals Bath as performance director.
Wallet HandbagsFormer Scotland, Wasps and Northampton coach McGeechan has signed a two-year contract at the Rec despite spending the second half of the season at Kingsholm.
A Scottish international in his playing days, McGeechan advised Gloucester head coach and fellow Scot Bryan Redpath as the duo plotted a route up the Premiership table.
However, the Kingsholm side were unable to keep hold of him as Bath begin a new era under chairman Bruce Craig.
