Ian, who suffers from a terminal heart illness, was moved to the home in May after a seven-month stay in hospital. His mum Liz, 60, from East Goscote, said: "He was absolutely over the moon, he said it's the best birthday present he's ever had.

"He's only been at the home for about a month but because he's very young for someone who's terminally ill, the nurses have been brilliant towards him."
