Hugh McLauchlan, 45, Dundee, printer: "I don't think anything is wrong with Scottish men. We say what we mean, do as we please, which at times gets to some women. We haven't really changed much ... just public perceptions and expectations that have changed."
Matthew McKay, 62, Bonniebridge, taxi owner: "We tend to be a bit insular, and only seem to open up when we have a drink in us. We are slightly more open to being more stylish but we still have a lot to learn about the world."

Ryan White, 20, Clydebank, call centre worker: "There's definitely a difference between older guys and younger guys, although maybe when I'm older I'll be grumpy too. There's not many 'hard men' type guys these days, Glasgow seems a lot more relaxed than it used to."
Dorothy Hargardon, 74, Bearsden, retired: "I don't Tiffany Necklace Frank-Gehry think there is anything wrong with Scottish men. They might not be open but they are much more dependable than men from other countries."
