POLICE BLOTTER

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A man arrived home in the 13700 block of Sheffield Street to find it ransacked. A coin collection and several pieces of jewelry were stolen.

A house was burglarized in the 1100 block of White Pine Drive. A PlayStation 2 and a DVD player were stolen.

VANDALISM

Someone threw a rock through the back window of a BMW in the 12700 block of Newton Place.

Someone used a key to scratch a car and dented the trunk in the 10300 block of Forest Hill Boulevard.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A missing change drawer made a man realize that his mother's Lexus had been burglarized in the 9000 block of Alexandria Circle. Thieves stole a digital camera, a cellphone and a pair of glasses.

A car was burglarized in the 700 block of Brightwood Way. A bulletproof vest, a pair of handcuffs and a bottle of pepper spray were stolen.

A purse was stolen from a car in the 13000 block of Pierson Road. Inside the purse was an iPhone, two credit cards and identification cards.

A car in the 3100 block of Fortune Way was stripped of its front seat, battery, two subwoofers and fuel tanks.

WARRANT ARREST

Deputies were investigating a disturbance call in the 10200 block of Old Hammock Way when a records search showed that the man they were questioning had an outstanding battery warrant. He was arrested.

DRUG POSSESSION

A deputy tried to stop a 19-year-old man in the 13800 block of Wellington Trace for a bicycle violation, but he refused to stop. He was arrested for resisting arrest without violence. He was searched and 0.7 grams of cocaine were found. He was also charged with drug possession.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Deputies received Fake Longines Watches a call about a man trying to break into a house in the 13700 block of Yarmouth Drive. They arrived to find the man trying to pry open the front door. He was arrested.

THEFT

Someone stole three Yamaha 115 outboard motors from two boats in the 3000 block of Fairlane Farms Road.

SHOPLIFTING

A man was arrested and charged with retail theft at a store in the 9900 block of Belvedere Road. He put six external hard drives, valued at $834, in his pocket, then tried to leave.

A man picked up three bottles of Captain Morgan rum from a store in the 11900 block of Southern Boulevard and ran out the front door.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

Two cellphones, a digital camera, a necklace, $30 in cash and several credit cards were stolen from a truck in the 10900 block of Okeechobee Boulevard. The burglar was seen on surveillance camera circling the parking lot before burglarizing the vehicle.

A revolver was stolen from the glove compartment of a car in the 100 block of State Road 7.
